Job summary

Capital Insurance Group is seeking an Underwriting Trainer to deliver and manage training for our Commercial/Agriculture underwriting teams. The role collaborates with Regional Underwriting Managers and SMEs to keep materials current and meaningful and leads training projects across the organization.

The successful candidate will develop and evaluate training content, provide hands-on instruction in both classroom and virtual settings, and manage multiple projects with strong organizational

Qualifications

• Degree in education and at least one year experience in insurance or finance underwriting or minimum 5 years background in training, or underwriting lead/management role in the insurance industry.
• Ability to facilitate instructor-led training in live and virtual environments.
• Proficient analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, visual, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, facilitate and monitor training activities and training program effectiveness.
• Create and evaluate training and reference material; assess employee development relative to the program.
• Lead new and existing training projects with subject matter experts across the organization.
• Provide hands-on training across all levels of Underwriting to ensure understanding of fundamentals, processes, procedures, systems.
