Commercial Account Manager, Energy Efficiency

Location: ATL, GA (Remote – Home Office with Local Travel)

Ready to make a difference? ICF is seeking a Commercial Account Manager based in Georgia to assist in delivering commercial energy efficiency programs. The role involves managing a pipeline of existing projects and recruiting new participants by calling on customers and contractors to increase energy efficiency projects and participation in utility incentive programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruit program participants, manage accounts, develop sales strategies, deliver presentations, and build relationships.
  • Provide technical guidance on energy-efficient technologies to participating companies.
  • Maintain project updates in tracking systems, communicate project status with customers and contractors.
  • Host presentations and training sessions for stakeholders, contractors, and customers.
  • Support successful project evaluation, implementation, and verification in non-residential markets.
  • Offer contractor support and conduct surveys/inspections to verify proper equipment installation and operation.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of projects for approval.
  • Must have reliable vehicle for local travel (50-75%, mileage reimbursement provided).
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience: 1 year of experience per year of education)
  • 2+ years of utility, energy efficiency, or related trade experience
  • Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record check
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with commercial/industrial companies, mentoring junior staff, energy efficiency technologies, economic analysis, and program implementation
  • Knowledge of Southeast distributor and contractor networks
  • Experience with energy audits, savings calculations, ENERGY STAR, LEED, and related platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
