Job Description

Danfoss Industrial Division is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven Account Manager to increase wallet share at existing accounts. This role will identify new opportunities, drive specifications for pull-through sales, and own the sales growth and relationships of assigned accounts. The Account Manager will maintain strong professional relationships with key decision makers.

The Account Manager will report directly to the Director, Industry Sales for Industrial Americas. This role can be remote from any of the following US cities: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Cincinnati, OH; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Indianapolis, IN; Little Rock, AR; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; New Orleans, LA; Oklahoma City, OK; St. Louis, MO. Support for work authorization cannot be provided for this role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales, price, and margin targets, focusing on new wins, opportunity management, and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Identify customer applications, products, and programs that present sales opportunities across Danfoss Business Units, and develop tailored proposals.
  • Lead initiatives within the Industrial Business Unit at assigned accounts, collaborating with Distribution, OEM, and Virtual sales teams.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews, communicate customer forecasts internally, and manage performance against goals.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure high support levels and effective communication with customers.
  • Represent Voice of Customer by communicating topics such as price proposals, product changes, and performance metrics to ensure organizational understanding.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers and departments to support product specification and purchase.
  • Plan and deliver presentations on Danfoss products and programs to customers.
  • Prepare and submit reports, action plans, and expense documentation promptly.
  • Maintain organized records for performance analysis and follow-up.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years of customer-facing account management and sales experience with industrial or mechanical products
  • At least 3 years of hydraulics customer and market experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and productivity skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75% (domestic and international, mainly US and Canada)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Authorization to work in the US without support
