Position Summary: Commercial Account Manager/Business Development Manager

As an Account Manager, you will generate new business and sales of high-end audio-visual systems. You will collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure seamless delivery and work on maintaining and expanding client relationships.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Business development, cold calling, internet, and other methods to develop new business.
  2. Interface with customers to understand needs, objectives, and requirements to identify solutions and opportunities.
  3. Perform site visits to document field conditions, take pictures, verify room dimensions, and check above the ceiling.
  4. Document initial system descriptions and equipment lists for engineering review.
  5. Develop AV functional diagrams of major components.
  6. Generate proposals including scope, schedule, and payment terms.
  7. Submit sales order packages and attend project meetings as required.
  8. Manage proposal content and prepare orders.
  9. Develop and implement sales strategies within assigned territory.
  10. Forecast product demand in the territory.
  11. Serve as escalation point for issues during product utilization.
  12. Prepare and conduct technical/product presentations and demonstrations.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in low voltage, audio-visual, lighting, or shades in commercial or residential environments.
  • Proven track record of achieving $2M in annual sales.
  • Ability to meet or exceed an annual sales quota of $1.5M.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel may be required based on business needs.
