Job description

We’re looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join Procore’s Sales Team. In this role, you’ll apply an understanding of Procore’s products, sales methodology, processes, and prospecting techniques to acquire new strategic mid-sized customers that can benefit from Procore’s project management tool for the construction industry. This position focuses solely on new account acquisition, including following up on inbound leads, prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, negotiation, and closing.

As a Commercial Account Executive, you’ll partner with Sales Development and Solution Engineer teams to create and close new logo opportunities. Use your prospecting, relationship building, and organizational skills to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual targets.

This position reports to the Manager, Commercial Sales, and can be based remotely or in our Austin, TX, Tampa, FL, or Carpinteria, CA locations.

This is an ongoing, open requisition. We are interested in candidates who want to start a sales career at Procore now or in the future if a position becomes available.

What you'll do:
  1. Develop territory and account plans for new prospects to build rapport and create new logo opportunities.
  2. Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and obtain business requirements to close new logo business and meet targets.
  3. Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Solutions Engineers (SEs) to showcase Procore’s position as a leading construction software solution.
  4. Maintain accurate forecasts and provide sales reports as requested.
  5. Enhance knowledge of competitors to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  6. Manage leads, opportunities, and account information within Salesforce.com.
  7. Engage in networking, relationship building, cold calling, email follow-ups, product demos, and executing service agreements.
What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of successful software sales experience, preferably B2B.
  • Experience with consultative, solution-based sales methodology is preferred.
  • Proven success in inside and outside sales models.
  • Effective communication skills via telephone and email.
  • Resilience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline and forecast accurately.
Qualifications

Additional information includes a base pay range of $42 - $58 hourly plus commissions, with estimated on-target earnings of $174,400 - $239,800. The role is eligible for equity compensation. Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, and location.
