New Mexico Job Challenge Academy seeks a Commandant to oversee safety and operations for students within a para-military setting, setting standards and supervising staff. Interviews are anticipated within two weeks of closing date.

The Commandant will manage training programs, coordinate with NMJCA staff, and ensure daily operations across health, safety, education, and life skills to support students’ success.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of professional level experience.
• Any combination of education and related experience totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct supervision and training to the Deputy Commandant and Staff Training Coordinator.
• Provide indirect supervision for up to two Shift Supervisors, eight Residential Advisor personnel and up to 50 students.
• Develop employee goals and performance standards and conduct performance evaluations.
• Establish a viable training program.
• Coordinate with NMJCA staff and supervise all residential activities assigned to Residential Advisors.
• Manage and oversee the effective implementation and daily operations of Health, Safety, Education, and Life Skills programs.
