Job summary

Sierra Air Inc. is seeking a Comfort Advisor Trainee to train in residential HVAC sales. The role focuses on learning, shadowing, and developing the skills needed to conduct in-home consultations and recommend solutions.

During training, you will gain hands-on experience, then pursue opportunities to present systems, prepare estimates, close sales, and follow up with customers. A driver’s license and flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of successful sales and/or customer service experience.
• Strong interest in HVAC systems and sales.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Positive, coachable, and driven attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A current and valid driver’s license in the state where you will work.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Comfort Advisor Trainee (Residential HVAC Sales Advisor Trainee) role is an entry‑level position designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship to individuals interested in pursuing a career in HVAC sales. This position is perfect for someone passionate about customer service and wanting to grow their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

During training, you will participate in extensive training to conduct in‑home consultations, assess HVAC needs, and recommend appropriate systems and services. You will also shadow experienced Comfort Advisors during in‑home consultations to gain hands‑on experience assessing customers’ needs, including providing support in preparing presentations and detailed quotes.

After graduation, you will be able to…

• Conduct In-Home Consultations: Meet with homeowners to evaluate their HVAC needs, perform assessments, and discuss potential solutions.
• Present HVAC Solutions: Provide detailed explanations of our HVAC products and services, helping customers make informed decisions.
• Prepare Estimates: Develop accurate and competitive pricing estimates based on customer requirements and company guidelines.
• Close Sales: Utilize effective sales techniques to convert consultations into sales, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Follow‑Up: Maintain customer communication to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and provide ongoing support.
• Leverage Leads: Work with company‑provided leads and self‑generated prospects to maximize sales opportunities.
• Attend Training: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, sales strategies, and industry trends.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and installation schedules.
