Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Construction Materials Engineering and Testing (CoMET) Project Manager to lead a local team in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes client service, technical leadership, and coordination of testing, inspections, and project delivery.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, mentor staff, and expand the client base while maintaining safety and quality across projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 6–7 years in materials testing, inspections, and construction management.
• 3–4 years of project-related experience with client interaction.
• 1–2 years in supervision of field engineers or technicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of special inspections and materials testing for projects of various sizes.
• Review plans to develop estimates, define scope, timelines and budgets.
• Lead safety programs and encourage proactive pre-task planning.
• Mentor staff and assign responsibilities in field and office settings.
• Develop detailed project plans and monitor milestones and deliverables.
• Engage in marketing and client outreach to grow business opportunities.
• Coordinate with Accounting for financial tracking, invoicing, and change orders.
