Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation in Hamlet, NC seeks an experienced Plant Operator for Combustion Turbine facility. You will manage start-up/shutdown, monitor equipment, perform maintenance, and ensure safety and environmental records are kept up to date.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining turbine equipment, following LOTO procedures, and reading technical manuals. You will work 12-hour shifts, with overtime and travel as needed, and participate in training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2 years of related work experience.
• Associates or Technical Degree preferred.
• Experience with Maximo, Passport or equivalent software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and balance plant functions at the Combustion Turbine facility.
• Perform start-up, shutdown and maintenance on substation equipment.
• Follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures on equipment such as HRSGs, steam turbines and pumps.
• Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety records and documents.
