Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a qualified candidate for a Combustion Turbine facility role focused on start-up, shutdown, normal operations, and maintenance. Responsibilities include safety, testing, calibration, and record-keeping with strong emphasis on teamwork and adherence to procedures.

The position requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with maintenance software, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts with overtime. Travel is limited and safety training is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years related work experience.
• Associates or Technical Degree preferred.
• Proficient with computers, software applications and plant work management tools (MS Office).
• Experience with maintenance management systems such as Maximo or Passport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, maintenance and balance of plant functions at the Combustion Turbine facility.
• Perform operation, planned and unplanned maintenance on substation equipment.
• Apply Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures on equipment.
• Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety records and documents.
• Read and understand OEM manuals, recommendations, and warranty agreements.
• Read and interpret mechanical, civil, electrical drawings; support safety guidelines.
