Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician for its Combined Cycle generation sites in Wisconsin. You will perform operations, inspections, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner, working in the control room and DCS under supervision.

The role requires 2 years electrical, mechanical or instrument experience, a High School diploma, willingness to travel, and the ability to read blueprints and follow procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years electrical, mechanical or instrument and control trades or two years Power Generation maintenance/operation experience.
• Willing to travel (occasional overnight stays).

Responsibilities

• Perform Combined Cycle operations, inspections, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate in the control room and DCS under supervision.
• Conduct contractor safety orientations and job safety briefings.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with warehouse and inventory activities and data collection for regulatory needs.
• Support emissions monitoring systems and equipment calibration.
