SAFEbuilt is seeking a Combination Building Inspector in Houston to perform daily field inspections on residential, commercial, and public projects. You will review plans, interpret building codes, and document results using permitting software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience interpreting codes and providing code-compliant solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with staff, contractors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily field inspections of residential, commercial and public facility construction projects.
• Reviews plans and calculations to ensure code compliance.
• Maintains inspection records and enters results into permitting software.
• Provides interpretations of City, State, Federal, and local construction standards.
