Job summary

SAFEbuilt, Inc. seeks a Combination Building Inspector to join our team. You will perform field inspections on residential, commercial, and public facilities, explaining technical details to diverse audiences and maintaining detailed records.

You will review plans for code compliance and apply interpretations of codes and standards, while staying current with edition updates. A valid driver's license and applicable certifications are required.

Qualifications

• ICC inspector certifications in multiple trades required.
• Texas Plumbing Inspector License required (TSBPE).
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily field inspections of residential, commercial and public facility construction projects.
• Interacts with the public and explains technical information to varied audiences.
• Reviews plans and calculations for building components to ensure code compliance.
• Provides interpretations of City, State, Federal standards and local ordinances.
• Maintains inspection records and logs; enters results into permitting software.
• Performs other related duties as required.
