Job summary

ABC Management seeks a Regional Manager to oversee apartment communities within the Columbus area. The role involves directing Property Managers, enforcing policies, budgeting, and ensuring occupancy targets are met.

You will lead hiring decisions, coach staff, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing, HUD/Tax Credit guidelines. Regular travel to properties and site inspections are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years managerial experience.
• At least 5 years property management experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Property Managers in the assigned territory with the administration of all policies and procedures including the operating budget.
• Advertise for, interview and recommend the hiring of any personnel for the Property Manager, associated support staff positions.
• Coach and train the Property Manager on an ongoing basis regarding company policies and procedures; Fair Housing practices; HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit guidelines.
• Complete employee disciplinary notices and bring areas of disciplinary action to the supervisor.
• Meet with your supervisor weekly to discuss operations including rent collections, occupancy, budgets, and marketing programs.
• Review and approve property invoices weekly; attend site visits involving state or federal agency inspections.
• Evaluate property occupancy reports monthly and propose rental rate adjustments when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and program guidelines; respond to resident concerns promptly.
