Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a senior Water Resources Engineering Leader to help lead and expand its Colorado water resources practice. This role focuses on water rights engineering, water supply planning, client development, and technical leadership, with responsibility to grow the firm’s presence in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.

You’ll lead complex projects, mentor a team, build long-term client relationships, and provide expert analysis and testimony when needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of water resources engineering experience
• 8+ years of experience working within the Colorado water resources market
• Strong knowledge of Colorado water rights frameworks and administration
• Significant experience with water supply and water rights engineering
• Surface water and water balance modeling experience
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development capabilities
• Experience leading and developing technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Colorado water rights and water resources engineering services
• Develop and expand a book of business across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region
• Build long-term relationships with municipalities, water providers, and other key clients
• Lead proposals and competitive pursuits
• Manage and develop a team of water resources professionals
• Provide senior technical guidance and QA/QC
• Lead complex water supply and water rights projects
• Prepare and review technical reports, water supply assessments, water management plans, and strategic studies
• Represent the practice with clients and external stakeholders
