Job summary

Prince William Health District in Virginia seeks a dynamic leader to develop and deliver comprehensive emergency preparedness and response training for PWHD staff, MRC volunteers, and community partners.

The role maintains a multi-year training and exercise plan, supports the Integrated Preparedness Plan, and ensures documentation meets PHEP grant standards. Collaboration across local jurisdictions will strengthen PWHD’s EOP, with JITT support during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 5 years of related experience in public health, epidemiology, emergency management, adult education, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, emergency management, public administration, or a related field of study
• 6 years of experience in public health, epidemiology, emergency management, adult education, or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of NIMS and ICS
• Completion of HSEEP
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of comprehensive emergency preparedness and response training for PWHD staff, volunteers, and community partners
• Maintain and implement a multi-year training and exercise plan
• Support the Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) and ensure documentation meets PHEP grant standards
• Collaborate with local jurisdictions and partners to strengthen PWHD’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)
• Manage employee emergency management training records and provide Just-In-Time Training during emergencies
