Job summary

Mortenson seeks an Electrical Journeyman to install, test, and maintain electrical systems across commercial projects. You will read plans, install wiring, motors, transformers, and ensure code compliance while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of related experience, and trade certification. A valid driver's license and ability to work with diverse teams are required; bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma required.
• Apprentice aptitude test required.
• Union-specific training may be required.
• Mortenson training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring and fixtures.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers and transformers.
• Test systems with meters and scopes for safety and compatibility.
• Read plans and determine sequence of repairs and installations.
• Repair and maintain high voltage systems and motors.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow codes and procedures.
