Mortenson Construction seeks a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to provide skilled electrical installation and maintenance across our projects. You will assemble, test, and install wiring and fixtures, read plans, and ensure code compliance while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and relevant trade certification preferred.
• Two years minimum related electrical experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read plans and work orders; comply with codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in testing tools and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers and transformers per plans.
• Test systems for continuity using meters and oscilloscopes.
• Repair and maintain motors, transformers, and lighting.
• Study plans and orders to determine work sequence and requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety compliance tasks.
• Read prints, layout work, and install new service.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow company procedures.
