Job summary

Amazon’s ICT Colo Engineering Team seeks a Regional Engineer to lead connectivity designs for critical AWS data centers. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Control engineers to shape pathway and cabling specifications for construction and permitting.

The role emphasizes rapid risk response, design reviews, and close coordination with vendors and field teams across AWS data centers globally.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.).
• 4+ years of commissioning experience in relevant facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specs, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of scalable ICT fiber optic and copper plant designs and specifications.
• Review and approve ICT pathway, cable and equipment submittals.
• Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.
• Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS Data Centers.
