Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) ICT Colo Regional Engineer role sits in a global engineering team responsible for connectivity within AWS data centers. You’ll design pathway and cabling, review submittals with suppliers, and help deliver robust ICT infrastructure.

Requires 10+ years ICT design in mission-critical environments, fiber optic experience, and a PE Electrical license. Expect ~40% travel to AWS data centers to review projects and coordinate with onsite teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years ICT design experience in mission critical environments.
• 5+ years designing construction/permit documentation.
• 5+ years experience with fiber optic cabling and interconnect tech.
• BICSI RCDD or equivalent; PE Electrical license.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of scalable ICT fiber/copper plant designs and specs.
• Review and approve ICT pathway, cabling and equipment submittals.
• Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly.
• Support new technology and design activities to improve infrastructure quality and reduce cost.
• Travel 40+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS Data Centers.
