Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking a Collision Body Shop Mechanic Technician in Austin, TX. The role involves inspecting vehicles to assess damage, performing diagnostics, and repairing or replacing brake, engine, steering, and air bag components.

You will test systems to meet manufacturer specifications and work within a lively team focused on quality and safety. The position demands attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Advance understanding and knowledge of the repair process/procedures
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under company insurance policy.
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
• Organization and multi-tasking skills, good time management, and the ability to adapt easily to fast-paced environment.
• ASE Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines vehicles to determine extend of damage or malfunctions.
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as computerized diagnostic devices.
• May repair, align, replace, and adjust brake systems and perform vehicle alignments.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
• Repair and/or replace engine components, brake systems, steering and air bag systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair.
