Job summary

Ray Laethem Buick GMC is seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our collision repair department. The ideal candidate will guide staff, ensure quality repairs, and drive profitability while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will oversee shop operations, manage estimates and repair orders, and maintain strong relationships with insurers and customers. Leadership, organization, and a proven ability to meet deadlines and production targets are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a collision repair or automotive body shop.
• Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, estimating, and insurance claims.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workflow, meet deadlines, and achieve financial production goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the body shop and ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage, lead, and motivate technicians, painters, estimators, and support staff.
• Monitor production schedules, repair quality, cycle time, and overall shop performance.
• Manage estimates, repair orders, parts coordination, and insurance company relationships.
• Maintain excellent communication with customers, insurance adjusters, service advisors, and dealership management.
• Develop and maintain a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
