Ray Laethem Buick GMC is seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our collision repair operations in Detroit, Michigan. You will oversee every aspect of the shop, ensure efficient workflow, and drive profitability through strong leadership and customer-focused service.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in a body shop, in-depth knowledge of collision repair processes, and the ability to coordinate estimates, parts, and insurance relationships while delivering top-quality

Qualifications

• Experience managing a collision repair or automotive body shop.
• Solid knowledge of collision repair processes, estimating, and insurance claims.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage workflow, meet deadlines, and achieve financial production goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the body shop and ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage, lead, and motivate technicians, painters, estimators, and support staff.
• Monitor production schedules, repair quality, cycle time, and overall shop performance.
• Manage estimates, repair orders, parts coordination, and insurance company relationships.
• Maintain excellent communication with customers, insurance adjusters, service advisors, and dealership management.
• Develop and maintain a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
