Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Collision Body Technician to repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards with attention to detail and timeliness. You will perform body repairs, welding, and frame work while ensuring safety protocols and quality control.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of automotive experience, a valid in-state driver's license, and are interested in ICAR/OEM certification. Training and advancement opportunities are available across locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Requires ICAR or interest in certification.
• Requires OEM certification or interest in certification.
• At least two years of automotive experience.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with Estimators and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.
• Assess vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
• Perform all body repairs according to the estimate.
• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs.
• Operate all equipment in the Collision Center safely and productively per Safety Standards.
• Inspect all work as a QC measure when jobs are completed.
• Mix chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations affecting Collision Center operations.
• Gain product knowledge to provide high-quality repairs.
