Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Florida is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, collaborating with the team to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise of speed and quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools to repair sections of a vehicle (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers).
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
