Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Florida is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars using a variety of tools while maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical school program or apprenticeship. You will work with a team in a busy shop, perform repairs, weld, paint, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Good reading of job orders and supervision-free work ability.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Use tools to repair sections and realign chassis/frames.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior parts.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect finished work.
