IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a College Prep Teacher to ensure students master academic and social skills for college success and to provide pathways for college credit through dual-enrollment, AP, or IB courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Teaching certification or credential (strongly preferred).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom (strongly preferred).
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress and update gradebook weekly; adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate student progress with families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in weekly meetings and school-wide activities.
