Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is looking for dedicated teachers to help students master academic and social skills needed for college success. You will set ambitious goals, monitor data, and refine daily lesson plans to challenge students and advance their college-readiness.

We expect you to deliver rigorous instruction aligned with IDEA curricula, communicate progress weekly with families, and participate in after-school tutoring or Saturday sessions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Conduct after-school tutoring or Saturday school as needed.
• Engage in weekly manager check-ins and school-wide meetings.
• Spend 40+ hours per week at school.
