Mission
The College Partnerships Manager at Public Schools ensures that IDEA graduates attending out-of-state partnership colleges and universities receive the supports they need to help them graduate in 4–6 years.

Description
Manager of College Partnerships

Location:
This is a full-time remote position based in Texas, with a preference for candidates residing in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or those willing to relocate.

Travel Expectations
While this is a remote role, there will be in-person meetings and events. Travel to meet alumni may be required up to 30% during peak times.

Essential Duties – Accountabilities

  • Portfolio Stewardship: Support over 500 IDEA alumni by maintaining strong relationships with at least forty-six out-of-state college partners, facilitating collaboration on access, matriculation, persistence, and graduation.
  • Partnership Acquisition: Support IDEA’s goal of securing ten new college partnerships annually, identifying and developing out-of-state partners aligned with IDEA’s mission.
  • Counselor Collaboration: Work with over 100 college counselors to guide students through application and enrollment processes, providing timely support.
  • Campaign Leadership: Lead annual FERPA waiver and alumni data collection campaigns for over 7,000 IDEA alumni enrolled at 70 colleges, ensuring accurate reporting of outcomes.
  • Data Analysis: Track and analyze key metrics like retention and graduation rates, preparing reports with actionable insights.
  • Event Coordination: Organize events such as counselor tours, virtual meetings, and campus visits to strengthen partnerships and opportunities for IDEA students.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies with leadership to enhance partner engagement and alumni success.
  • Review and prepare MOUs with out-of-state partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support college counseling and alumni teams by addressing student challenges.
  • Develop training/resources for counselors, families, and teams about out-of-state college opportunities.
  • Advise internal teams on best practices for college access and alumni persistence.
  • Collaborate with external partners on projects and committees focused on college admissions and student support.
  • Act as a liaison to align the College Partnerships Team with IDEA’s broader goals.
  • Mentor interns and team members involved in out-of-state partnerships.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and organize events related to college engagement.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in education, college admission, or advising.

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience as an instructional leader and teacher is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Travel for meetings, observations, and conferences.
  • Communicate effectively with others.

What We Offer

Salary ranges from $68,800 to $79,900, depending on experience. Includes performance pay, health benefits, retirement plans, and more. Details at IDEA Benefits.

Relocation stipend may be available.
