Candidates must hold a Virginia nursing license, have 5+ years of patient care experience, and 3+ years in acute care. A Bachelor’s in Nursing is required, with preferred experience in curriculum development in higher education.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse with Virginia license.
• Minimum five years of nursing patient care experience.
• Minimum three years of acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Experience in curriculum development for nursing education in higher education.
• Ability to use technology to support student learning and communicate electronically.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates student acquisition of knowledge and skills.
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
• Deliver instruction and assess student learning, with early assessments in the first 15% of class.
• Adhere to college policies for student surveys and evaluation actions.
• Offer at least one office hour per week per course assigned.
