WSU Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Developer to support and enhance our college information systems, managing client-server applications, data integrations, and enterprise-level software serving students, faculty, and staff.

The role emphasizes system performance, data integrity, security, and collaboration with IT teams on projects, updates, and ongoing development, with a commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Experience with educational information systems.
• Programming in HTML, JavaScript, and .NET/Visual Basic.
• Experience with MS SQL Server or Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Administer server and desktop software to ensure reliable access to college systems
• Support and manage ERP systems (including Banner modules)
• Oversee real-time and batch data integrations between system components
• Monitor and report on system performance and usage
• Maintain and update web-based applications, including patches and upgrades
• Ensure system security and data integrity across platforms
• Troubleshoot and respond to technical support requests
• Collaborate with IT team on projects, priorities, and system improvements
• Participate in ongoing professional development (minimum 20 hours annually)
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Perform other duties as assigned
