Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience, or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
• Experience with coding within Peoplesoft or Enterprise SIS systems including PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, BI Publisher, nVision Reports, SQL, SQR, C or C++.
• Experience with large system implementations and ERP software development is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and testing/troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Codes applications according to specifications and team guidance.
• Supports other programmers and analysts with programming and analysis tasks.
• Investigates vendor products and informs team about features/limitations of tools and languages.
• Attends team meetings and communicates programming issues to staff and customers.
• Presents findings and recommendations in writing and verbally.
• Tunes and modifies code for efficiency and reliability.
• Writes system interface programs and troubleshoots existing code.
• Investigates system bugs and proposes fixes or alternatives.
• Tests applications and adheres to version control and promotion guidelines.
• Analyzes program output and error logs.
