Northwestern Mutual is seeking College Financial Representatives for its internship program. You will learn to prospect, network, and build a client base while developing a business strategy and gaining exposure to proprietary planning software.

The role includes weekly coaching, licensing support, and opportunities to interview for full-time roles after graduation. The program emphasizes flexible scheduling to fit your classes, with potential pathways toward Series 6/63 licensing and CFP

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government, etc)
• Excellent time-management skills
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base
• Develop and execute on a business strategy
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations
