Job summary

Northwestern Mutual invites motivated college students to join its Internship program as College Financial Representatives in Omaha. You will begin building a financial planning practice while supported by a Fortune 500 company and access exclusive products and local and national coaching.

Flexibility to balance classes and a growing client base, with pathways to full-time opportunities post-graduation, and licensing support for Series 6/63, CFP, SIE, and state licenses as available.

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government)
• Excellent time-management skills
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base
• Develop and execute on a business strategy
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings
