Job summary

Wellesley College is hiring a General Service Worker to support food service operations on campus. You will assist with setting up serving lines, cleaning, and basic food prep while maintaining high standards of service.

This is an entry-level, on-site role requiring physical endurance and reliable transportation. Responsibilities include dishwashing, trash removal, and assisting with events, all while adhering to ServSafe and NSf standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to read and comprehend basic English.
• Uniforms are provided; hair restraint as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, deliver, and serve food according to facility needs.
• Maintain kitchen areas and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
• Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and prep work for events.
• Help with finishing hot food placement and dessert/bread service.
• Follow state and local food service regulations and ServSafe standards.
