Job summary

Wellesley College in Massachusetts is hiring a General Service Worker to support food service operations. The role covers set-up, serving, and dishwashing, with duties spanning from prep through to dessert service, while ensuring clean, safe workspaces and compliant with ServSafe and NSF standards.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekends off, averaging 40 hours per week; initial wage starts at 21.30 per hour and progresses to 26.62 per hour over time.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend basic English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Load and unload the dishmachine and transfer clean dishware to designated areas; wash pots and pans; remove trash.
• Assist with special events and prep work, including fruits and vegetables; general cleaning.
• Set up serving line and manage dessert and bread service; comply with manager and cook directions; follow ServSafe and NSF standards.
