Wellesley College in the United States invites applications for a General Service Worker (entry level) to support daily food service. The role covers setup, delivery and serving duties, as well as maintaining clean kitchen areas and equipment.

The position involves prep work, event support, serving line setup, and adherence to ServSafe/NSF standards. Schedule includes varied shifts; reasonable travel within campus services is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to use chemicals required in daily cleaning.
• Must have basic knife skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English required.
• Uniforms as furnished by department; Hair restraint as required by College-Union Agreement.
• Meal breaks as assigned by management.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer's sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsabilités

• Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Load and unload the dishmachine and transfer clean dishware to designated areas.
• Wash pots and pans and remove trash to designated areas.
• Assist with special events and prep work; may include preparation of fruits and vegetables.
• Set up serving line and finish hot food placement; handle dessert and bread service.
• Comply with state and local food service regulations, ServSafe and NSF standards.
