Job summary

Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to support a full intercollegiate varsity season. You will help prepare practices, scout opponents, and meet-track; participate in recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes; and contribute to the College’s holistic student-athlete development.

The role requires teaching skills, independent work, and the ability to work evenings and weekends, with a commitment to NCAA Division III and Wheaton policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and 1-3 years of collegiate playing and/or coaching experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop student-athlete’s skills, conditioning and sport knowledge; oversee academic progress.
• Assist the head coach in developing and executing a recruiting plan and contact prospective student-athletes and families.
• Serve in administrative capacity as needed, including game management and other duties as assigned.
