Job summary

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps in the United States seeks a dedicated member to provide individualized academic and college-access support to students and families at every stage of their educational journey.

You will coach students through college selection and applications, connect families with FAFSA and CSS Profile resources, provide after-school math and English instruction for middle school students, and help build the skills and confidence needed for informed postsecondary decisions.

Job description

Provide individualized academic and college-access support to students and families throughout their educational journey. This includes coaching students through college selection and the college application process, connecting students and families with FAFSA and CSS Profile support sessions and other financial aid resources, and providing middle school students with after-school instruction in math and English. Through these interventions, this member will help students build the academic skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to make informed postsecondary decisions and successfully prepare for college.

Member Duties :

Provide individualized coaching to students and families throughout the college selection and application process, helping students identify appropriate postsecondary options and complete application requirements.Support students and families in navigating the financial aid process by connecting them with FAFSA and CSS Profile resources and encouraging participation in financial aid support sessions.Provide academic support to middle school students through after-school math and English instruction, helping students strengthen foundational skills and build confidence in their academic abilities.Coach students in making informed decisions about college and postsecondary pathways, helping them understand their options and prepare for the transition from high school to college.
