Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is seeking a Program Specialist - AmeriCorps College Coach to support Graduation Plus and related college access programs for members aged 14-24 in Milwaukee. You will coordinate assessments, help students apply for FAFSA, and edit essays, while enhancing post-secondary planning.

The role includes tutoring, evaluating progress, and collaborating with staff to maximize scholarship opportunities and education awards for participants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with urban youth.
• Experience in program implementation.
• Experience directly related to youth programming.
• Good communications skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing Graduation Plus and related programs.
• Coordinate pre/post assessment and monitor academic progress for participants.
• Facilitate college access activities, assist with FAFSA, and edit essays.
• Support Graduation Plus evaluation and help integrate scholarship opportunities.
• Provide after-school tutoring and communicate with parents when students are absent.
• Develop lesson plans, assess cohorts, and generate periodic reports.
• Attend AmeriCorps meetings and events.
