Job summary

University of California, Berkeley's Center for Educational Partnerships is seeking a College Advisor to guide high school students toward college success. The role focuses on recruitment, advising, and program delivery to expand access for low-income and first-generation students.

You will develop educational plans, coordinate events and field trips, and document student progress while collaborating with schools, families, and community partners to strengthen college-going culture.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, recruits, and selects high school participants through referrals, class presentations, summer activities, school media, and correspondence.
• Delivers in-person and virtual individual and group advising services along with maintaining relationships with middle school and high school participants.
• Develops comprehensive education plan for each participant in advisors caseload with regards to their academic path from middle school to high school and subsequent enrollment in post-secondary education.
• Reviews and analyzes all cohort participant transcripts every semester to ensure student progress and success.
• Develop digital marketing and branding material for recruitment, programming, workshops, and activities.
• Co-ordinates participant attendance of other university-sponsored programs.
