Job summary

The University of San Francisco Upward Bound Program seeks a UB College Advisor to serve as academic advisor to high school students, guiding course selections, monitoring performance, and supporting progress toward graduation. You will provide college and career advising, facilitate A-G coursework, SAT/ACT registration, and develop Individual Learning Plans for participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, English, Psychology, Social Science, or Math with at least 3 years of experience in student services; experience with state and federal programs; experience with college-access programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group college and career advising, workshops, and presentations.
• Supervise the college admission process and coordinate college visits.
• Develop ILPs and evaluate transcripts.
• Recruit new students and participate in outreach at Tennyson High School.
• Track report cards and academic progress; attend staff and college/career meetings.
