Job summary

Envision Education seeks a College Advisor to sustain a college-going culture and support seniors' applications and transitions to college and careers. Location: Hayward, onsite. Compensation details reflect 11 months, full-time hours at $38–$48/hour with competitive benefits.

Reporting to the Principal, you will guide seniors through admissions, financial aid, and matriculation, and collaborate with college partners while aligning with anti-racist school values.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.
• 1+ years experience providing academic, career, and/or college mentorship/advising services to high school students.
• Continuous California residency after hire.
• Demonstrated success working with parents and families, including Black, African American, Latino/a/x, and immigrant communities.
• Willingness to pursue PPS certification within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide 12th grade students through college and financial aid applications.
• Provide career readiness learning for advisories across grade levels.
• Learn about opportunities for low income students (fee waivers, fly-in visits, partnerships).
• Build partnerships with college admissions and career services.
• Plan and lead parent workshops on financial aid, types of colleges, and scholarships.
• Engage in monthly self-reflection and goal setting toward PPS credentialing.
