Job summary

Duke University seeks recent graduates to join Advise NC as AmeriCorps Next Step Adviser Members in North Carolina high schools. You will provide admissions and financial aid guidance to students and families, organize group events, and build strong school partnerships.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or permanent residency
• Must be 17 years or older
• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Applicants must have earned or will earn a bachelor’s degree by start of employment

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one admissions and financial aid advice to students and families.
• Organize group events to promote college planning and applications.
• Establish relationships with principals, counselors, and teachers in partner high schools.
• Assist in assessing and sustaining the program through data collection and reporting.
• Maintain expertise in admissions and financial aid advising.
