Job description

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking candidates with a passion for public service to fill a Collections Supervisor position in our Collections Enforcement Section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The position will be headquartered at 30 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.

Duties
  • Supervises and trains assigned staff.
  • Conducts staff meetings.
  • Performs monthly phone monitoring and reviews.
  • Assists team members with difficult callers and/or accounts.
  • Monitors team workflow and assists in work distribution.
  • Establishes work procedures and employee performance goals.
  • Evaluates record keeping policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepares records and reports.
  • Works with Information Technology Services (ITS) to troubleshoot issues with business tools.
  • Handles sensitive contact with the public.
  • Handles varied public relations duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related area or equivalent work experience;
  • Previous supervisory or Team Lead experience;
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a call center environment;
  • Previous experience with reporting;
  • Previous experience in a collections or legal environment.
