Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage delinquent homeowner accounts, negotiate payment plans, and coordinate with property managers and legal teams. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and professional customer service within policy guidelines.

The position offers full-time hours at an on-site Minnesota location with comprehensive benefits and a structured collection process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience.
Accounting and/or collections experience preferred.
MS Office skills required.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Account & Portfolio Management: manage homeowner accounts, daily communications, reconciliations, follow-up.
Maintain collection efforts to reduce delinquency and improve cash collections.
Resolve balances and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Monitor aging accounts and escalate to legal counsel when needed.
Negotiate payment plans in line with governing documents and guidelines.
Document all collection activity and support legal documentation as needed.
