The ideal candidate will manage accounts receivable, follow up on unpaid invoices, and support timely client collections in a professional law-firm environment. We value detail-oriented professionals with strong communication skills who can collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve discrepancies, monitor aging reports, and maintain accurate collection records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounts receivable or collections experience preferred.
• Prior law firm collections experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with legal billing practices, invoice processing, and client payment procedures.
• Strong understanding of AR aging reports and collection processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting, billing, or financial management software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable portfolios to ensure timely collection.
• Review AR aging reports and identify overdue invoices for follow-up.
• Contact clients regarding outstanding invoices, payment statuses, and past-due balances.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and internal departments.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, billing disputes, and account issues.
• Maintain records of collection activity and payment arrangements.
• Monitor client accounts and follow up on payment commitments.
• Prepare and distribute AR reports, collection summaries, and aging analyses.
• Assist with month-end AR reconciliations and reporting.
