Job summary

The position offers competitive hourly pay between $19.56 and $24.45 and a benefits package. You will handle inbound/outbound calls, apply payments, document interactions, and work to bring accounts current while complying with FDCPA and other laws.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relative customer service work experience.
• 1 year specific collections related work experience.
• Technical competence with MS Office products.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Preferred: 3 years collections work experience at a credit union.
• Preferred: experience with Symitar, Elle, Temenos or other software applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to members with fast, courteous, and respectful service.
• Handle inbound and outbound collection calls and arrange payments.
• Document conversations and efforts in the system of record.
• Adhere to FDCPA, FCRA, and related regulations governing collections.
• Research pay history disputes and route to the appropriate department.
• Follow established protocols to transfer calls to appropriate collections personnel.
