A Collection Specialist I builds one-on-one relationships with clients, understands their unique situations, and helps identify realistic solutions to get back on track with payments. Within a smaller, relationship-focused call center, this role goes beyond phone calls, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through personalized conversations, problem-solving, and supporting clients on their path toward financial stability.

Job Responsibilities

• Consistently, efficiently, and lawfully contact clients via outbound/inbound phone calls and other means of approved communication methods and collect on and manage assigned delinquent accounts
• Professionally and respectfully persuade clients to set up payment arrangements and bring accounts current to resolve the delinquency and improve upon the credit history reporting for our clients
• Handle high volume of client phone calls, inbound or outbound, and negotiate payment in full or arrangements
• Update contact information while speaking with clients
• Maintain client information in complete confidence
