Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years of computer, accounting, collections, and high-volume medical billing/insurance claims processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payment posting, contractual adjustments, and refunds preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts ensuring timely billing, collections, and payment activity.
• Verify claims on file and follow up with payers for payment.
• Investigate denials and coordinate with billers to address issues.
• Prepare correspondence such as appeals to secure payments and handle refunds.
• Document all communication and monitor payments every 30 days with payers and clients.
• Stay updated on state, federal, and third-party funding regulations.
